About Palmalore
Name Origin (Fairytale Edition)
Palmalore is a very thoughtful name, comprised of three words: two explicit and one holding personal significance. Magic flows from the "palm" of one's hands, a desire we’ve all probably felt at some point. "Lore" spins the tale that magic colors as it emerges from the palm, embodying the essence that sets each individual apart. What may seem less obvious but is rooted to my culture is the word "alo" (calling out to all the Bangladeshi folks!), and in English it means "light." It reflects how the passion inspiring someone to use their palms, guided by their intellect, to make a decision is fueled by a glimmer of hope that it will create a positive impact beyond what we can see.
The Vision
Imagine looking at a map: when you focus on a specific location all zoomed in, it looks clear, but as you zoom out, it becomes harder to see. The same happens with pain points—on a global scale, many go unnoticed, overlooked, or left unsolved.
To create real change, we must start locally, addressing problems at their roots and scaling solutions for lasting impact. These challenges can give rise to initiatives, which could be anything from making urban living better to revitalizing conditions in marginalized communities overseas. Fortunately, the 21st century is on our side, offering unparalleled access to technology.
The goal is to leverage human capital and technology to identify and develop potential solutions that can effectively address key challenges and opportunities, positively impacting our lives and the lives of those we care about.
This is where Palmalore steps in, taking the shape of a pavilion where opportunities are nurtured.

Hi there! I'm Rifat Roufe (aka The Palmalorette), Founder & Creator of Palmalore. Back in 2023, I graduated from NYU with a degree in business and technology, and have since been dedicated to uncovering innovative opportunities at the intersection of the two fields.
